Patrick signs multi-year deal with Andretti Autosport

Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) - Danica Patrick will remain with the IndyCar Series, signing a multi-year contract to stay at Andretti Autosport.

Patrick appeared on ABC's "Good Morning America" Monday, and unveiled the car she will race for the team in the 2010 IndyCar campaign.

"I'm happy to be able to announce that I'm returning to Andretti Autosport," Patrick said in a statement. "My life long goal is to win the Indy 500, and I'd love to do that in the GoDaddy.com car."

Patrick, who became the first woman ever to win an IndyCar race last year in Japan, finished a career-best fifth in IndyCar points this season. The 27- year-old also finished third in this year's Indianapolis 500. She spent her first two seasons with Rahal Letterman Racing before moving over to Andretti Green Racing in 2007.

Andretti also announced Go Daddy has signed a multi-year primary sponsorship agreement with the team.

"All of us at Andretti Autosport are looking forward to having Danica back with the team and are excited about working with (Go Daddy CEO and Founder) Bob Parsons and everyone at Go Daddy as the primary sponsor on Danica's car," said team owner Michael Andretti.

While Patrick continues to run in IndyCar competition, her future with NASCAR remains unclear.

Patrick is reportedly negotiating on an agreement to run a limited NASCAR schedule for JR Motorsports -- a team co-owned by Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Rick Hendrick -- next year.

NASCAR driver Tony Stewart, the 1997 Indy Racing League champion, said earlier this year that Patrick was seriously considering a move to the stock car circuit. Her foray into stock cars likely will involve the NASCAR Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series, as well as the ARCA Series.
