NOTES: Last season, Jason Leffler led only three laps, but it was the final trio that gave him his second career Nationwide Series victory, as he edged Greg Biffle by 1.009 seconds. The victory gave Toyota its first Busch Series win. Biffle and pole sitter Aric Almirola dominated the race, as Biffle led for a race-high 94 laps and Almirola 87 as he placed sixth. In 2006, Kevin Harvick continued to dominate the Nationwide Series, as he crossed the finish line at the Kroger 200 for his fifth win of 2006 and 22nd of his career. Harvick took the lead from pole sitter Denny Hamlin on the 84th lap and led out, as he posted a 1.414 seconds win over Reed Sorenson. Harvick led for 117 laps, while Hamlin, who finished eighth, led for 83. Harvick finished the season with nine wins and 32 top-10s in 35 races, easily winning the Busch Series title. When Martin Truex Jr captured the Kroger 200 in 2005, he crossed the finish line 1.002 seconds ahead of Clint Bowyer. The victory was Truex Jr's sixth of that campaign and the 12th of his Nationwide career. Randy LaJoie was the last driver to win this race in back-to-back seasons, when he took the checkered flags in 1996-97. LaJoie will be one of the announcers this week for ESPN. The Kroger 200 is the only race on the NNS schedule that has had the same sponsor for all 27 seasons, 1982-2008, of the Series. The pole sitter has captured this race five times, the last coming in 2002 by Greg Biffle. The NASCAR Nationwide championship moves to the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, Canada on August 2nd for the NAPA Auto Parts 200, as Kevin Harvick defends his title. 07/22 13:27:15 ET
