Darlington replacing Milwaukee on Truck Series schedule

Darlington, SC (Sports Network) - The Camping World Truck Series is returning to Darlington Raceway.

NASCAR announced on Wednesday that Darlington will replace The Milwaukee Mile on the 2010 Truck Series schedule. The Too Tough to Tame 200 will run at Darlington on August 14. The 1.366-mile track previously hosted a truck race each year from 2001-04.

"Our fans have asked us to bring back the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series because Darlington is a perfect fit for the tough racing the series offers," track president Chris Browning said.

Milwaukee initially had a truck date set for June 18, but the track's operators -- the Wisconsin State Fair Park Board -- could not seek a promoter for the truck and Nationwide Series races and therefore dropped its events from the schedule.

Last Month, NASCAR announced that Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI will replace Milwaukee on this year's Nationwide schedule.
