Phoenix, AZ (Sports Network) - The New York Mets activated outfielder Moises Alou from the disabled list on Friday, and he returned to the team's lineup in their 7-2 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Alou had been out the entire regular season so far after undergoing surgery for a hernia sustained in a Spring Training game, and placed on the DL on March 23, retroactive to March 21.
The 41-year-old also suffered a setback with an ankle injury, but an MRI performed on Tuesday revealed only a right ankle bruise.
Alou went 1-for-3 with an RBI in Friday's game against Arizona, batting fifth.
Last season, Alou batted .341 with 13 homers and 49 runs batted in, but he only played 87 games because of injuries.
