Philadelphia Phillies (13-11) at Pittsburgh Pirates (9-14), 7:05 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The Philadelphia Phillies are on a roll and will try to stay on track tonight, when they resume a three-game series against the rival Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park.

Philadelphia has won two straight and five of its last six games, including Friday's 6-5 victory over the Bucos in the opener of the set. Chris Coste had three hits and ended with three runs batted in, while Jayson Werth was 2-for-4 with a solo home run, two RBI and two runs scored for the Phillies. Rookie infielder Brad Harman, making his first major league start, doubled, knocked in a run and scored a run in a winning effort.

Veteran reliever Tom Gordon earned the win with a scoreless inning of relief, and closer Brad Lidge hurled a perfect ninth inning for his sixth save. Starting pitcher Adam Eaton lasted just 3 2/3 innings, allowing three runs on five hits.

Young hurler Kyle Kendrick will try to end his current winless streak when he takes the ball for the Phils on Saturday. Kendrick, who owns a 1-2 record with a 5.59 ERA in four starts this season, is 0-2 in his previous three trips to the hill since winning his 2008 debut on April 4 at Cincinnati.

The right-hander last pitched on Monday at Colorado and did not factor in the outcome of a 9-5 victory. Kendrick was reached for five runs and eight hits over five innings of work.

Kendrick defeated the Pirates the only time he faced them on July 29 last season. He twirled seven solid innings and yielded just a run and six hits during a 5-1 victory.

Pittsburgh has dropped two straight and eight of its last 10 games. In last night's loss to Philly, Xavier Nady went 2-for-4 with three RBI for the Pirates and Jason Bay clubbed a solo homer. Starter Zach Duke suffered the loss after being tagged for six runs on nine hits over six frames.

Bucos starter Matt Morris is still in search of his first win as a Pirate, and is 0-3 with a 9.15 earned run average over four starts.

Morris has dropped three straight outings, including an April performance against Florida. He was roughed up for a season-high eight runs on nine hits through a season-low four innings.

The veteran right-hander is very familiar with the Phillies, as he sports a 5-3 record with a 3.57 ERA in 12 career games (11 starts) against them.

The Pirates are 2-3 on a seven-game homestand, while the Phillies are 4-1 on a seven-game road swing.

Philadelphia won four of six versus the Pirates last year, but is 3-5 over the last eight games in the Steel City.
