(Sports Network) - The Minnesota Twins will try to climb over the .500 mark tonight when they clash with the Detroit Tigers in the second contest of a three-game series versus the Minnesota Twins at Comerica Park.

On Friday, Mike Lamb had a triple and home run and a pair of walks, and Kevin Slowey threw six shutout innings to lead the Twins to a 9-4 win. Lamb also scored every time he reached base, while teammates Carlos Gomez, Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau each collected two hits for the Twins, who snapped a two-game losing streak.

Slowey (1-4) earned his first win of the season after giving up just four hits and three walks. Dennys Reyes didn't record an out in letting up three runs, but Jesse Crain, Matt Guerrier and Bobby Korecky combined to limit Detroit to one run in three innings of relief.

Armando Galarraga (3-2) took the loss after allowing five runs on seven hits in six innings. Dontrelle Willis made his first appearance since being activated off the disabled list on Wednesday, and gave up a run in an inning of relief.

Magglio Ordonez had a pair of hits, while Ivan Rodriguez tripled and had two RBI for the Tigers, who had a three-game win streak stopped.

Detroit will try to get back into the win column behind the arm of Nate Robertson tonight. The left-hander is winless in his last three outings, earning two losses during that time.

Robertson was last in action on Sunday, when he allowed four earned runs and seven hits in 5 2/3 innings of a 4-0 loss to Arizona. He struck out five and walked four.

In 19 career starts against Minnesota, Robertson is 7-8 with a 3.90 ERA. He faced the Twins earlier this season, giving up four earned runs and six hits in 6 1/3 innings of work. He fanned five batters but did not earn a decision in the Tigers' 6-5 win on April 15th.

Boof Bonser will get the call for the Twins and he is in search of his first win since April 29th. In May, Bonser has posted an 0-1 mark with a 7.66 ERA in four starts, although Minnesota has found a way to win three of those outings.

On Monday, the right-hander surrendered four runs - three earned - in 6 1/3 innings of work against the Texas Rangers. He struck out five batters and walked none in receiving a no-decision in the Twins' 7-6 victory.

Bonser has made three career starts against the Tigers, going 2-0 with a 5.00 ERA during that time period. On May 4th, he was tagged for six runs - five earned - in six innings of work against Detroit. Minnesota won that game, 7-6, but Bonser did not earn a decision.

Minnesota is 4-2 versus the Tigers this season, and has won the last four meetings.
