Arizona Diamondbacks (32-27) at Milwaukee Brewers (31-28), 2:05 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The Milwaukee Brewers will try to extend their season-high winning streak to six games tonight, when they go for a three-game sweep of the Arizona Diamondbacks at Miller Park.

Milwaukee swept Houston in three games before winning the first two contests of this set with Arizona, including Tuesday's 7-1 victory. Ryan Braun put the Brewers ahead with a two-run homer in the sixth inning to spoil a solid pitching outing from Randy Johnson.

Prince Fielder and J.J. Hardy also went deep for Milwaukee, which has won eight of its last nine overall.

Seth McClung started for Milwaukee and tossed six decent innings of one-run ball, giving up six hits without allowing a walk for the win. McClung fanned four batters and also picked up his first two major league hits, both off Johnson.

The Brewers are 7-1 on a nine-game homestand and 18-10 at Miller Park this season.

Milwaukee starter Manny Parra will try to keep his recent unbeaten streak intact this afternoon, and is 3-2 with a 4.72 ERA in 11 starts this season.

Parra is 2-0 with a 3.58 earned run average over his last five starts. He defeated Houston on Friday with six strong innings of one-run ball in a 5-1 victory.

Parra, a lefty, has never pitched against Arizona in his brief career.

The Diamondbacks continued to struggle with Tuesday's setback, having lost two straight and seven of nine games.

Johnson recorded eight strikeouts through 6 1/3 innings to move past Roger Clemens into second place on the all-time strikeout list with 4,680. The five- time Cy Young Award winner is looking up at only Nolan Ryan, who sits atop the list with 5,714 career strikeouts. Johnson gave up four runs -- three earned -- for the loss.

Mark Reynolds drove in the sole run for Arizona, which is 0-2 on a 10-game road trip and 11-15 as the guest in 2008. The D'Backs still sit atop the NL West standings at 3 1/2 games over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Taking the ball for the Diamondbacks today will be Micah Owings, who is 6-3 with a 4.17 ERA in 11 starts this season.

Owings has alternated wins and losses over his last six decisions, having suffered the loss Friday versus Washington. He was reached for six runs and eight hits over 6 1/3 innings during a 7-4 defeat.

The right-hander, who is 3-1 in five road starts this season, has squared off with Milwaukee once in his career, back on July 16 of last season. Owings surrendered four runs and seven hits in six innings as the Brewers registered a 4-3 win.

Arizona and Milwaukee are playing their first series against one another this season. The Brewers won five of seven meetings in 2007, with a 3-1 record at Miller Park.
