Arizona Diamondbacks (34-29) at Pittsburgh Pirates (30-33), 12:35 p.m.

(Sports Network) - Veteran southpaw Randy Johnson seeks career win No. 10 against Pittsburgh today, when the Arizona Diamondbacks visit PNC Park for the finale of a four-game series with the Pirates.

Johnson is 9-5 in 14 career starts against Pittsburgh with a 2.21 earned run average. Johnson has pitched 101 2/3 innings against the Pirates, allowing just 75 hits and 25 earned runs while striking out 141.

The 44-year-old Californian made history in his last start on June 3, striking out eight Milwaukee batters to reach 4,680 in his career and move past Roger Clemens into second on the all-time strikeouts list behind Nolan Ryan.

Johnson has struck out 27 batters over 19 1/3 innings in his last three starts but is nonetheless winless, having dropped a 7-1 decision to the Brewers and picked up no-decisions against Atlanta and San Francisco.

His last victory came May 18 against Detroit.

Pittsburgh lefty Zach Duke looks for a second straight win for the Pirates.

The 25-year-old, who was just a toddler when Johnson made is big-league debut in 1988, improved his 2008 record to 3-4 with a 5-2 defeat of Houston on June 4. He allowed seven hits and two runs over 7 2/3 innings, while walking two and striking out a pair of batters.

Duke, who had lost two straight before topping the Astros, is 0-1 with a 6.55 ERA in two starts against the Diamondbacks.

On Sunday, Jason Bay and Jack Wilson each drove in two runs, leading the Pirates to a 6-4 victory over Arizona.

Adam LaRoche went 3-for-4 with a run scored for the Pirates. Raul Chavez stroked a pair of hits, scored twice and drove in a run in the victory.

Phil Dumatrait (3-3) worked the first 5 2/3 innings to earn the win. He gave up two runs on four hits with two walks and three strikeouts.

Doug Davis (2-3) took the loss for Arizona. He was tagged for five runs on seven hits with four walks in 3 2/3 innings.

Mark Reynolds homered twice and drove in three runs for the Diamondbacks, who have lost four of their last six.

These two clubs split six games in Pittsburgh last year.
