Atlanta Braves (32-32) at Chicago Cubs (40-24), 8:05 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The NL Central-leading Chicago Cubs will put the best home record in the National League on the line tonight, when they welcome the Atlanta Braves to Wrigley Field for the first of three straight games.

Chicago, which is an MLB-best 40-24 this season, has won eight in a row as the host and is 26-8 at home. The upcoming series with Atlanta comes on the heels of a seven-game road trip in which Chicago went 4-3. In Sunday's 3-1 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers in the finale of a four-game set, Mark DeRosa finished with three hits, including a home run, and two RBI to lead the charge.

Cubs starter Jason Marquis was solid in limiting the Dodgers to three hits and an unearned run through 6 1/3 innings for the win. Carlos Marmol worked out of a jam in the eighth inning and Kerry Wood tossed a perfect ninth to notch his 18th save for Chicago, which won for the 11th time in 14 tries overall.

Ted Lilly will try to keep the ball rolling for the Cubs when he takes the mound on Tuesday. Lilly is 0-1 in the last three starts since a personal four- game winning streak, and lost his last outing on June 4 at San Diego. He allowed a pair of runs on seven hits in 7 1/3 innings of work to fall to 5-5 with a 5.23 earned run average in 13 starts this season.

The left-hander, who is 3-2 in six starts at home this season, owns a 1-2 mark and a 6.17 ERA in five career appearances against Atlanta.

Atlanta will kick off a 10-game road trip tonight and is an MLB-worst 7-21 away from Turner Field this season. It has dropped three in a row as the host and completed a seven-game homestand with a 3-4 record. The Braves closed out the homestand by getting swept in three games by the Philadelphia Phillies, as they suffered a 6-3 loss in Sunday's series finale.

Mark Teixeira went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer, while third baseman Chipper Jones did not play because of a slight tear in his right quadriceps. Jones has a major league-best .420 batting average and the Braves are 0-6 without him in the lineup. He is expected to miss tonight's game.

Jorge Campillo limited the Phillies to three runs on seven hits through 5 1/3 frames. Blaine Boyer took the loss and gave up three runs.

Tom Glavine will try to pitch the Braves back into the win column when he toes the rubber this evening. Glavine is 0-1 in his last three outings -- all Atlanta losses -- since a personal two-start winning streak. He allowed two runs and six hits in five frames of a 6-4 setback versus Florida last Wednesday for a no-decision.

The veteran left-hander and 300-game winner is 15-13 with six complete games and a 3.61 earned run average through 35 career starts against Chicago.

Atlanta went 5-4 against the Cubs last season, with a 2-1 record at Wrigley Field. The Braves are 17-6 against Chicago since the start of the 2005 campaign and 7-2 in the Windy City over that stretch.
