Chicago White Sox (41-32) at Chicago Cubs (46-28), 1:05 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The Chicago Cubs gun for their 13th straight home win today, as they continue a three-game set with the Chicago White Sox at Wrigley Field.

On Friday, Aramis Ramirez belted a game-winning leadoff home run off Scott Linebrink in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Cubs extended their home winning streak with a dramatic 4-3 win over their cross-town rivals.

Ramirez, who also tied in the game with a home run in the seventh, blasted a low Linebrink (2-2) fastball over the wall in dead center to win it.

Derrek Lee also homered for the Cubs, who won for the first time in four games overall. The club has not lost at Wrigley Field since a 7-6 setback to Pittsburgh on May 17 and has amassed a stellar 30-8 record as the host this season.

Ted Lilly allowed three runs on seven hits while walking three and fanning eight in 6 2/3 innings. Kerry Wood (4-1) earned the win with a scoreless ninth.

John Danks pitched brilliantly for the White Sox, surrendering just one run on five hits in six innings but was let down by his bullpen. Octavio Dotel served up a pair of home runs in the seventh, before Linebrink lost things.

AJ Pierzynski had a two-run home run for the White Sox, who have lost seven straight on the road. Jermaine Dye also homered for the ChiSox.

The White Sox will send Jose Contreras to the hill today with the hope that he can end their road woes. The veteran right-hander has dropped his last two starts, including a 5-3 setback to the Colorado Rockies on Sunday. In that game, Contreras surrendered four runs - three earned - and seven hits over 6 2/3 innings of work.

Contreras, who is 3-2 with a 3.45 ERA in seven road starts this season, is 1-2 with a 4.23 ERA in four lifetime appearances against the Cubs.

Countering for the Cubs will be Jason Marquis, who has won three straight starts and four consecutive decisions. On Saturday, the right-hander limited the Toronto Blue Jays to only one earned run and four hits over seven innings of a 6-2 victory.

In his career against the White Sox, Marquis is an even 1-1 with a 10.06 ERA in three starts. He pitched against the White Sox at Wrigley Field last season, yielding five runs and seven hits in six innings of an 11-6 triumph. He did not receive a decision in that game.

The Cubs have won four straight and seven of their last eight encounters with the White Sox, including six of seven tilts held in 2007.
