(Sports Network) - The Cleveland Indians will try to snap a 10-game road losing streak today, as they clash with the Seattle Mariners in the second of a three-game set at Safeco Field.

On Friday, Raul Ibanez hit a grand slam as part of a three-hit night and Felix Hernandez tossed six solid innings, as Seattle routed Cleveland, 8-2.

Hernandez (7-6) gave up just two runs on four hits and a pair of walks, and struck out eight to help the Mariners win their second straight. The right- hander earned his first win since June 17.

Jose Lopez added a three-run homer, while Adrian Beltre went 2-for-3 with a pair of walks.

Aaron Laffey (5-6) was touched for eight runs -- just three earned -- on nine hits in 3 2/3 frames to absorb the loss. It was Laffey's shortest outing of the season for Cleveland, which took a four-game winning streak into the All- Star break.

Casey Blake hit a solo homer and drove in both runs for the Indians, as they suffered their 10th consecutive loss away from home.

Cleveland will turn to Jeremy Sowers today with the hope he can get the team back on track. The soft tossing left-hander, however, hasn't won a game since May 24th, 2007, but has stayed in the rotation due to injuries to the pitching staff and the departure of CC Sabathia.

In his last outing on July 13th, Sowers yielded two earned runs and three hits over four innings of an eventual 5-2 win over the Tampa Bay Rays. The 25-year- old struck out eight in the contest, but walked seven.

Sowers has made two career starts against the Mariners, going 1-0 and throwing a total of 14 scoreless innings.

Opposing Sowers today will be Miguel Batista, who has bounced around between the starting rotation and bullpen. The right-hander is 0-4 with a 7.28 ERA over his last seven starts and hasn't won as a starter since May 11th.

In nine career appearances, five starts, against the Indians, Batista is 0-3 with a 7.82 ERA. Batista, however, pitched well against Cleveland earlier this season, giving up just one earned run over seven innings of an eventual 3-2 setback in 11 innings on May 1st.

The Indians won two of three when these clubs met in Cleveland from April 29- May 1.
