Toronto Blue Jays (55-55) at Texas Rangers (57-54), 8:05 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The Toronto Blue Jays try to go above .500 this evening when they play the rubber match of their three-game series with the Texas Rangers at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.

Toronto got back to the break-even mark on Saturday, as Scott Rolen and Rod Barajas each had two-run doubles in the sixth inning, helping the Blue Jays to a 6-4 win. Alex Rios finished 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored for Toronto, which snapped a three-game overall skid and won for the fifth time in its last seven tries away from home.

A.J. Burnett (13-9) allowed four runs on six hits over 5 2/3 innings to win his third consecutive start and establish a career-high for wins in a single season. The right-hander had previously won 12 games in 2002 and 2005 as a member of the Florida Marlins. Scott Downs tossed 2 1/3 innings of no-hit ball in relief.

Frank Catalanotto drove in two runs for the Rangers, who have lost two of their last three games. Josh Hamilton, Gerald Laird and David Murphy each had two hits, with Laird knocking in a run.

Scott Feldman (4-4) gave up four runs -- three earned -- on five hits over 5 1/3 innings to record his first loss since June 13 against the New York Mets.

Hoping to get the Blue Jays a series win tonight will be lefty David Purcey, who is 1-1 with an 8.10 ERA. Purcey picked up his first major league win on July 26 against Seattle, as he allowed three runs and seven hits in six innings.

Texas will counter with righty Luis Mendoza, who is 2-4 with a 7.34 ERA. Mendoza did not get a decision on Tuesday against Seattle, as he allowed six runs (five earned) and nine hits in 5 1/3 frames of his team's 11-10 win.

Mendoza lost his only other start against the Jays earlier this season.

The Blue Jays swept a three-game series from Texas in Arlington from April 11-13, but the Rangers returned the favor with a pair of victories in Toronto later that month.
