Lee County, FL (Sports Network) - Dusty Brown hit a solo homer in the eighth inning and Brandon Moss added the game-winning RBI single as Boston edged Minnesota, 7-6, in Grapefruit League play.

Alex Cora added a two-run single for Boston, which pounded out 13 hits. Starter Jon Lester had a tough day on the mound, allowing five runs -- four earned -- on two hits and four walks in just one inning. David Pauley picked up the win by tossing two scoreless frames.

Delmon Young went 1-for-2 with an RBI single and a walk for Minnesota. Joe Mauer also drew a pair of free passes and had a single to right in his three at-bats.

Randy Keisler was hit hard in his 1 1/3 inning, yielding three runs on two hits while walking three. Kevin Mulvey (0-1) gave up two runs -- one earned -- and five hits over two frames in the loss.
