Lee County, FL (Sports Network) - James Shields hurled five scoreless innings, and Dioner Navarro, Evan Longoria and Elliot Johnson all homered as Tampa Bay downed Minnesota, 7-1, in Grapefruit League action.
Shields allowed just four hits while walking and fanning one to pick up the win for the Rays. Johnson finished 3-for-5 with a two-run homer and three runs scored.
Craig Monroe was 2-for-3 for the Twins, who mustered just seven hits in the contest. Livan Hernandez surrendered two runs on three hits in four innings on the mound en route to the loss.
