Fort Myers, FL (Sports Network) - Chip Cannon hit a two-out, three-run double in the eighth to lead the Toronto Blue Jays over the Boston Red Sox, 4-3, in Grapefruit League action.

Scott Rolen went 2-for-2 with a double for the Blue Jays, while starter Brian Tallet threw two scoreless innings, allowing one walk while striking out four.

Kevin Youkilis hit a three-run homer and starter David Aardsma went two scoreless innings allowing two hits and a walk for the Red Sox.

The start of the game was delayed more than an hour after Red Sox players threatened to boycott the game and the trip to Japan because coaches and other staff were not going to receive a stipend for the trip. The players on the Red Sox and Athletics are now guaranteed a stipend of at least $40,000. Coaches and staff will receive a stipend as well.
