Jason Bay and Ronny Paulino picked up two hits each for the Pirates, who overcame an early two-run deficit. Ian Snell earned the win by allowing six hits and two runs over six innings.
Jon Knott went 2-for-4 with a solo homer for the Twins. Michael Cuddyer also knocked in a run while starter Kevin Slowey took the loss, charged with four runs on six hits through five full innings.
