Hernandez allowed four hits and a run, while walking a batter in his second win this spring. Joe Mauer had two hits and a run batted in, while ex-Ray Delmon Young also drove in a run for the Twins.

Former Twin Jason Bartlett had three hits, including a double, and knocked in a run for the Rays. Akinori Iwamura had two hits, an RBI and scored once, but the Rays were hampered with three errors.

James Shields was tagged with the loss after surrendering seven hits and four runs -- two earned -- over four innings.
