Martin Prado had two hits and three runs batted in, and Brent Lillibridge tripled and drove in two runs for the Braves. Starter Jeff Bennett allowed one hit over four scoreless innings, and Will Ohman got the victory despite giving up three hits and two runs over one inning.

Lastings Milledge and Cristian Guzman each had a RBI for the Nationals. Matt Chico surrendered seven hits and five runs over the first 5 2/3 innings. Reliever Ray King was also hit hard to the tune of four hits and five runs while recording just one out in the eighth, when the Braves blew it open with five runs.
