American League Game Summary - LA Angels of Anaheim at Baltimore

Final Score: LA Angels 2 - Baltimore 5

Baltimore, MD (Sports Network) - Guillermo Quiroz went 3-for-4 with three runs driven in as the Baltimore Orioles downed the LA Angels of Anaheim, 5-2, in the finale of a three-game set at Camden Yards.

Aubrey Huff went 2-for-4 with a run scored while Garrett Olson (7-5) got the win as he gave up two runs on seven hits in six-plus innings of work for the Orioles, who won on a Sunday for the first time since April 6 of this season, which was a streak of 15 games. Also, Baltimore broke a five-game losing streak overall.

"After last Sunday everybody was fed up," said Olson. "It was a goal of mine (to end the streak). I think everybody wanted to end it finally and fortunately for us we did and now we can move on and play baseball the way we can."

Vladimir Guerrero and Garret Anderson each drove in a run while Ervin Santana (11-5) was banged up for five runs on seven hits in five-plus innings of work for the Angels, who had a four-game winning streak stopped.

The Orioles struck twice in the first inning to take the early lead. With Adam Jones on first, Nick Markakis smoked a double to right to bring the runner home. Huff then beat out an infield single and Kevin Millar worked a walk to load the bases. Luke Scott was then hit by a pitch to bring home Markakis.

With the bases loaded in the third, Quiroz knocked a single to left that brought home Huff and Millar to give Baltimore a 4-0 lead.

The Angels got on the board in the fourth as Erick Aybar and Howie Kendrick started the inning with back-to-back singles to put runners on the corners, and Guerrero grounded out to bring home Aybar.

Baltimore got the run back in the sixth inning as Jay Payton led off the frame with a triple and Quiroz chased him home with a single for a 5-1 advantage.

Anaheim scored in the seventh on a pinch-hit, RBI single from Anderson that plated Juan Rivera and put runners at the corners with one out, but Chone Figgins hit into a double play to end the inning.

Jim Johnson pitched a scoreless eighth for Baltimore while George Sherrill retired the Angels in order in the ninth to pick up his 30th save of the season.
