National League Game Summary - Milwaukee at Atlanta

Final Score: Milwaukee 0 - Atlanta 5

Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Yunel Escobar knocked in two runs and Jorge Campillo pitched seven solid innings, as the Atlanta Braves avoided a three- game series sweep by defeating the Milwaukee Brewers 5-0 at Turner Field.

Campillo (6-4) earned the victory, giving up only six hits, while striking out six without issuing a walk. The right-hander has allowed only two runs in his last 22 2/3 innings.

Mark Kotsay and Omar Infante had RBI doubles while Jeff Francoeur added an RBI for Atlanta, which won for only the second time in its last nine games.

Ben Sheets (10-5) worked six solid innings, giving up three runs -- two earned -- on six hits. The veteran right-hander struck out four and walked three in losing his fourth decision in the last five.

"It was hard that first inning, but I felt better towards the end, so that was good," Sheets said.

Craig Counsell and Gabe Kapler had two hits apiece for Milwaukee, which has dropped six of its last eight games.

The Braves got to Sheets in the first inning, putting two runs on the board. Gregor Blanco got things started with a leadoff walk and advanced to second on Escobar's sacrifice bunt. Kotsay's double to left brought in Blanco and two batters later Infante roped a two-base hit just inside the third base bag that plated another.

"We're always trying to win baseball games," Kotsay said. It was a disappointing homestand. We leave on a positive note and head to San Francisco and we'll try and get a win on Monday night."

Escobar's run-scoring ground out in the fifth brought home Campillo, who reached on an error, increasing the Braves lead to 3-0.

Milwaukee had a golden opportunity to get on the board in the top of the seventh as Russell Branyan reached on a one-out single and Kapler followed with a bunt base hit. Campillo's throwing error allowed the runners to move up, however, the young righty settled down to strike out Jason Kendall and pinch-hitter Rickie Weeks to end the inning.

Atlanta tacked on a run in the home half of the seventh, making it a 4-0 game. Greg Norton and Blanco walked with one out and Escobar hit a looping single to right that scored Norton.

Francoeur's run-scoring single in the eighth made it 5-0.
