SuperSonics continue swing in Indiana

Tue 11th, March 2008

(Sports Network) - The struggling Seattle SuperSonics will continue a lengthy seven-game road trip tonight, when they take on the Indiana Pacers at Conseco Fieldhouse.

Seattle is 1-4 so far on the trek and has dropped four in a row, including Sunday's 114-106 loss to the Toronto Raptors at the Air Canada Centre. Chris Wilcox ended with 28 points and 10 rebounds and rookie Kevin Durant scored 20 points for the Sonics, who have lost eight of nine overall.

Earl Watson contributed 14 points and eight assists, while Nick Collison had 12 points and Damien Wilkins 11 in a losing cause. Seattle is 6-26 away from the Emerald City this season and will close out the road swing on Wednesday against the Boston Celtics. It is 2-17 in its last 19 as the visitor.

In injury news for the SuperSonics, center Luke Ridnour is probable against Indiana with a cut above his right eye.

Indiana will try to get back on the winning track Tuesday night, and has lost three straight, six of eight and 16 of its last 21 games. The Pacers just went winless on a three-game road trip, suffering a 103-95 setback to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the finale of the trek on Saturday at Quicken Loans Arena.

Danny Granger led the Pacers with 19 points, while Troy Murphy and Marquis Daniels netted 17 points apiece. Granger is averaging 21.6 points over the last seven games. Indiana, which will try to improve on a subpar 12-18 mark as the host Tuesday night, has lost four of six and nine of its last 12 home contests.

Seattle posted a 95-93 victory over Indiana on November 30 at KeyArena, as Durant poured in a game-high 35 points to lead the way. The Sonics have won three straight, six of seven and nine of the last 14 meetings in the series.

The Sonics, who have lost seven straight on the road to teams from the Eastern Conference, are 2-1 in their last three trips to Conseco Fieldhouse.
