(Sports Network) - The Portland Trail Blazers will resume a five-game road trip this evening against the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center.
Portland is 1-2 so far on the trip and had a two-game winning streak stopped with Sunday's 88-80 loss to LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers at Quicken Loans Arena. James scored 24 points, dished out 11 assists and hauled in 10 rebounds to record his seventh triple-double of the season.
LaMarcus Aldridge recorded a game-high 25 points and 10 boards for the Blazers, who have dropped three of their last five contests overall and currently trail Golden State by seven games for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. Aldridge is averaging 20.7 points and 8.3 boards in his last six games. Brandon Roy had 15 points in defeat.
The Blazers, who are 11-22 away from the Rose Garden in 2007-08, will also visit the Sacramento Kings on the current swing.
Meanwhile, Minnesota will shoot for its first three-game winning streak of the season on Tuesday. The T'Wolves have won back-to-back contests following a five-game losing streak, and recorded a 99-96 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday in the finale of a three-game trek at the Staples Center.
Al Jefferson had 30 points and 12 rebounds, while Randy Foye contributed 26 points, including the final six for the Timberwolves, who will try to stop a two-game slide as the host tonight.
Minnesota, which is 10-22 at home this season, hasn't won three straight games since January 12 - 15 of 2007. Jefferson is probable versus Portland with an ankle problem.
Portland is 2-0 against Minnesota this season and has won three of four and six of the last eight meetings.
The Trail Blazers have dropped five of seven at the Target Center.
