Oakland, CA (Sports Network) - Monta Ellis scored 33 points and Baron Davis contributed 23 points and 15 assists, as the Golden State Warriors continued to roll with a 117-106 victory over the Toronto Raptors.
Stephen Jackson had 19 points for Golden State, which has won three straight and seven of its last eight games. Mickael Pietrus ended with 14 points and Andris Biedrins 12 for the Warriors, who remained a game behind Dallas for seventh in the Western Conference.
Golden State blew a 20-point lead, but finished the game on a 22-10 run.
"It feel great, but we gotta keep it going," Davis said after Golden State's 40th win (40-23). "I think 50 wins will definitely get us in, so out of these 19 we gotta win 10."
T.J. Ford had 23 points and Anthony Parker 22 for the Raptors, who have lost six of their last eight contests. Toronto is entrenched as the fifth seed in the East.
"We had a lot of turnovers in the first quarter which they turned into fast break points," Parker said. "I think in the first quarter, that was the difference, but we did fight hard to get back. It is a tough back to back, but I don't think fatigue was a factor for us."
Two free throws from Ford moved the Raptors ahead 96-95 with 6:18 remaining, but the Warriors went ahead for good with the next eight points, capped by an Ellis layup, immediately after a steal from Pietrus.
Toronto couldn't get closer than five points the rest of the way.
Andrea Bargnani had 14 points, while Carlos Delfino and Kris Humphries each scored 10 for the Raptors, who shot 50 percent, while Golden State ended at 55.7 from the floor.
The Warriors scored 16 of the game's first 20 points and led 35-17 after 12 minutes. Pietrus' alley-oop jam to start the second provided the 20-point margin, but the Raptors rallied and were within 58-48 at the half.
Golden State was on top 88-79 going into the fourth, but Delfino's two foul shots ended a Toronto push to tie the game at 90 with 7:45 to go.
