(Sports Network) - The playoff-hopeful Denver Nuggets continue their important five-game road trip, as they visit the struggling Toronto Raptors today at Air Canada Centre.
Denver is 1 1/2 games behind No. 8 Golden State for the last playoff berth in the West, while Toronto is the sixth seed in the East and is a half game ahead of No. 7 Philadelphia.
This is the second meeting of the campaign between the clubs. On March 14th, Allen Iverson scored 28 points, and Carmelo Anthony netted 22 as the Nuggets rolled to a 137-105 rout of the Raptors at the Pepsi Center.
The Nuggets have won six of the last seven contests in the series. Denver has lost five of seven and six of its last nine at Toronto.
Denver is 1-2 on the swing. On Friday, Allen Iverson finished with 26 points and nine assists as the Nuggets used a strong fourth quarter to beat the New Jersey Nets, 125-114, at the Izod Center.
Linas Kleiza scored 23 points off the bench, while Marcus Camby had 16 points and 10 rebounds for Denver, which halted a two-game losing streak. Carmelo Anthony and Kenyon Martin both chipped in 17 points.
The Nuggets are 13-21 on the road this season. They will visit the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday at FedExForum.
Toronto tries to get back on the winning track, as it opens a four-game homestand. On Friday, LeBron James had 29 points and became the Cavaliers' all-time scoring leader as Cleveland outlasted the Raptors, 90-83, at Quicken Loans Arena.
Chris Bosh finished with 24 points for the Raptors, who have lost six straight on the road. Rasho Nesterovic had 16 points and seven rebounds, while Anthony Parker and Jose Calderon both had 12 points for Toronto, which has lost six of its last seven games overall.
The Raptors are 20-13 at home this season. They will also host Detroit, New York and New Orleans on the current homestand.
