Lakers, Warriors conclude home-and-home set

(Sports Network) - The Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors wrap up a home-and-home set tonight at ORACLE Arena.

The Lakers are tied with New Orleans for the top spot in the Western Conference playoff race. They are also a half game ahead of the second-place Phoenix Suns in the Pacific Division standings.

Golden State is 1 1/2 games ahead of the Denver Nuggets for the eighth and final playoff berth in the West. The Warriors are a half game behind No. 7 Dallas.

On Sunday, Stephen Jackson posted 31 points and hit a pair of late three- pointers, as Golden State blew a 26-point lead, but recovered to post a 115-111 victory over the Lakers at the Staples Center.

Monta Ellis also poured in 31 points for the Warriors, who snapped a nine-game losing streak at the Staples Center against the Lakers. Baron Davis added 18 points and four assists, while Al Harrington had 13 points and 10 rebounds for Golden State.

Superstar Kobe Bryant scored a game-high 36 points to go along with 14 rebounds and eight assists for the Lakers, who had their three-game winning streak halted. Lamar Odom poured in 19 points and pulled down a career-high 22 rebounds in defeat.

The Lakers, who have won two in a row on the road, are 24-13 as the visitor this season. After tonight's game, they will return home for a five-game stand versus Charlotte, Memphis, Washington, Portland and Dallas.

Golden State is 23-11 at home. The Warriors are scheduled to host the Trail Blazers on Thursday at ORACLE Arena.

The Warriors have won two in a row over the Lakers and are 2-1 against LA this season.

The Lakers have won six of eight and seven of their last 10 at Golden State.
