(Sports Network) - The Northwest Division-leading Utah Jazz open a three-game homestand against the Washington Wizards tonight at EnergySolutions Arena.
Utah is No. 4 in the Western Conference and is 2 1/2 games ahead of the Denver Nuggets in the Northwest standings.
The Jazz try to rebound from a surprising loss. Al Jefferson had 22 points to lead six Timberwolves in double digits, as Minnesota knocked off Utah, 110-103, on Sunday at the Target Center.
Carlos Boozer poured in a game-high 25 points and pulled down 10 boards for the Jazz, who had their three-game winning streak halted. Ronnie Brewer tallied 20 points, while Deron Williams scored 15 and dished out 13 assists.
Utah played Minnesota without center Mehmet Okur (virus) and forward Andrei Kirilenko (calf). Both players are questionable for tonight's contest.
The Jazz, who have won three in a row as the host, are 32-4 at home this season. They will host Minnesota on Wednesday and San Antonio on Friday.
Washington is No. 5 in the Eastern Conference playoff race, one game in front of the sixth-seeded Toronto Raptors. The Wizards wrap up a five-game road trip against Utah. They are 2-2 on the swing.
On Sunday, Kobe Bryant scored 26 points and the Los Angeles Lakers defeated Washington, 126-120 overtime victory at the Staples Center. Caron Butler notched his third career triple-double with 17 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists, while rookie Nick Young poured in a career-best 27 points on 10- of-16 from the floor in defeat.
The Wizards are 17-20 on the road this season. They will host Milwaukee on Wednesday and Miami on Friday at the Verizon Center.
