(Sports Network) - Two teams that are headed for early vacations meet today, as the Minnesota Timberwolves host the Memphis Grizzlies at the Target Center.
The teams split a pair of meetings this season, as both clubs picked up a win at home. The Grizzlies have won three of the last four contests in this series, and are 5-19 at Minnesota.
Memphis will host the Timberwolves on April 12 at the FedExForum.
The Grizzlies try to rebound from a bad loss. On Friday, Andris Biedrins scored 21 points and pulled down 17 rebounds as the Golden State Warriors routed Memphis, 117-86, at the FedExForum.
Memphis is a brutal 6-31 on the road this season. The Grizzlies return home to host the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday at the FedExForum.
Minnesota enters today's game on a three-game losing streak. Amare Stoudemire scored 24 points and hauled in nine rebounds to lead the Phoenix Suns in a rout of the Timberwolves, 117-88, on Friday at US Airways Center.
Al Jefferson scored 24 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Timberwolves, who have dropped five of six overall. Marko Jaric netted 12, while Rashad McCants and Ryan Gomes ended with 10 points apiece in the loss.
The Timberwolves are just 14-24 at home this season. They will visit the Charlotte Bobcats on Tuesday down south.
