Timberwolves visit Pistons at The Palace

(Sports Network) - The Detroit Pistons close out a three-game homestand when they welcome the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight to The Palace of Auburn Hills.

Detroit is the Central Division champion and the second seed in the Eastern Conference standings. The Pistons, who will meet No. 7 Philadelphia in the opening round, have won two in a row and are 33-7 at home this season. They will visit the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday at Quicken Loans Arena in the regular-season finale.

Rookie Rodney Stuckey came off the bench to score 18 points as Detroit defeated the Toronto Raptors, 91-84, on Sunday at The Palace of Auburn Hills. Chauncey Billups and Jason Maxiell both added 14 points, while Richard Hamilton chipped in 12 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the field for the Pistons, who have won seven of their last nine games overall.

Minnesota, which is a brutal 7-33 as the visitor this season, has won two straight and concludes a three-game road trip. The Timberwolves will wrap up their season on Wednesday against the Milwaukee Bucks at the Target Center.

Rashad McCants scored 23 points off the bench as the Timberwolves defeated the Memphis Grizzlies, 114-105, on Saturday at FedExForum. Kirk Snyder added 22 points and 11 rebounds for Minnesota, while Al Jefferson had 21 points and 10 boards in the win.

On April 1, Stuckey scored the go-ahead basket late in the fourth quarter to complement a 27-point effort as the Pistons knocked off the Timberwolves, 94-90, at the Target Center.

The Pistons, who can earn a series sweep over the Timberwolves for the second time in three seasons, have won two in a row and four of the last five contests in the series.

Minnesota has lost four of its last six at The Palace.
