New York, NY (Sports Network) - Major League Soccer announced the 2009 class of Generation adidas players that will enter the professional ranks for the upcoming season.
MLS teams and adidas identified nine of the most promising soccer players in the United States with the selected players signing MLS contracts before completing their NCAA eligibility and can be selected in the 2009 MLS SuperDraft, which will take place on Jan. 15 in St. Luois. The Generation adidas players' contracts will not count toward the salary cap of the team that selects them.
