(Sports Network) - The Miami Heat will continue a seven-game road trip Tuesday against the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center.
Miami fell to 1-2 on the road swing following Sunday's tough 108-105 loss to Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers at Staples Center. Dwyane Wade netted a game-high 27 points and handed out nine assists, while rookie Michael Beasley scored 16 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter for Miami.
Daequan Cook hit five three-pointers en route to 17 points, and both Chris Quinn and Shawn Marion chipped in 12 points for the Heat, who lost for the third time in four games overall. Miami will also visit the Bucks, Rockets and Thunder on the trek and is 7-11 away from South Beach this season.
In injury news for the Heat, Wade is listed as probable against the Timberwolves with a hip problem.
Minnesota will try to extend their season high winning streak to six games on Tuesday and will wrap up a three-game homestand. It has won the first two tests of the residency and handed the Milwaukee Bucks a 106-104 defeat on Saturday.
Rodney Carney scored a season-high 22 points off the bench and Al Jefferson collected 20 points and seven rebounds for the T'Wolves, who are 6-12 as the host this season. Sebastian Telfair dished out a game-high 11 assists to go with 17 points, while Ryan Gomes added 16 points and Randy Foye scored 10 of his 11 points in the decisive fourth quarter.
Miami and Minnesota split a pair of matchups in 2007-08, but the Heat have won three of four and five of the past seven meetings. The Timberwolves have won seven of eight as the host in this series.
