Hobart, Australia (Sports Network) - A quartet of unseeded players, including Czechs Iveta Benesova and Petra Kvitova, moved into Thursday's semifinals at the $220,000 Moorilla Hobart International tennis event, a final Australian Open tune-up.
Benesova handled Argentine Gisela Dulko 6-4, 6-4, while Kvitova came from behind to best rising Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova 1-6, 7-5, 6-3 on Day 4 here.
In Wednesday's other quarterfinal play, Slovakian Magdalena Rybarikova edged out Hungarian qualifier Melinda Czink 6-0, 1-6, 7-6 (9-7) and France's Virginie Razzano routed Bulgarian Tsvetana Pironkova 6-4, 6-1.
Thursday's semis will pit the 20-year-old Rybarikova against Benesova and the 18-year-old Kvitova versus Razzano.
The 2009 Hobart champion will claim $37,000.
