Hawks rout Nets in New Jersey

East Rutherford, NJ (Sports Network) - Jamal Crawford led all scorers with 25 points, as the Atlanta Hawks handed the New Jersey Nets yet another loss, this time a 108-84 defeat at the IZOD Center.

Both Al Horford and Marvin Williams added 15 for the Hawks, who won for just the second time in their last 16 games in New Jersey.

Horford also grabbed 11 rebounds and Maurice Evans chipped in with 12 points off the bench as the Hawks won their third game in a row.

"I thought we were pretty good defensively as well as our offense," said Hawks coach Mike Woodson. "I mean we moved the basketball and the open man got it and we made shots tonight."

Brook Lopez paced New Jersey with 21 points and Josh Boone added 13 and 20 boards for the Nets, who dropped their fifth in a row and 12th straight at home.

New Jersey was without guard Devin Harris (illness).

"We've sustained runs before in previous road trips since the all-star break," said Lopez. "We just didn't do that tonight."

Atlanta started the game on an 8-2 run, but a Lopez three-point play with 7:30 left in the quarter dimmed the edge to three. The Nets tied the game at 10 on a Boone hook shot and took their first lead on an alley-oop from Keyon Dooling to Boone at 18-17 with 2 1/2 remaining in the quarter. The game was tied at 22 after one.

Atlanta jumped out to a 34-29 edge on a Williams triple halfway through the period. The Hawks mounted a 12-2 stretch to end the frame up 55-39, as Crawford drained a long three as time expired.

The Nets never got closer than 11 in the third as the Hawks led by as many as 20, 78-58, on a Williams jumper with less than a minute to go.

Atlanta got the edge up to 21 on a Zaza Pachulia jumper with under 10 minutes left in the fourth. Crawford then buried another triple to widen the margin to 91-66 with about 8 1/2 minutes remaining. The Nets never dwindled the lead to less than 21.
