Miami, FL (Sports Network) - Manu Ginobili scored 22 points to lead the Spurs in an 88-76 road win over the Heat.
George Hill added 16 points on 7-of-12 shooting, and Richard Jefferson had 15 points and eight rebounds for San Antonio, which has won four straight and eight of nine overall.
Tim Duncan checked in with 12 points on only 5-of-15 shooting and 11 rebounds.
"It's hard to say we're back or we're about to make a run for a championship," Ginobili said. "We've lost so many bad games, so we have to stay humble and keep working."
Dwyane Wade poured in 28 points and had five assists for the Heat, who had won the first three games of a six-game homestand and six of seven overall
Jermaine O'Neal kicked in 13 points and Udonis Haslem 10. Miami was done in by a 38.5-percent showing from the floor.
"They came out shooting the ball well and playing well. Manu (Ginobili) made some big shots to make sure we didn't get back into the game," said Wade.
The Spurs were ahead 29-14 after 12 minutes and took advantage of Miami's poor shooting to open up a 55-37 advantage at halftime. Both teams were equally horrid in the third quarter, with the Heat connecting on 6-of-20 shots and the Spurs 7-of-18.
The lackluster 12-minute stretch resulted in San Antonio retaining a handy 71-54 margin heading to the final period, where the Heat failed to seriously challenge for the lead.
Wade dropped in a layup just before the midway point to draw the hosts within 10 at 79-69, but Jefferson and Duncan put in back-to-back baskets before Hill added a jumper with 2:49 remaining to stretch the difference to 16.
