Istanbul, Turkey (Sports Network) - Aleksandar Rasic's free throw with one second left gave Serbia a 73-72 victory over Croatia and berth in the quarterfinals of the FIBA World Championship.
The Serbs led by seven during the fourth quarter, but Croatia came back to tie it. Rasic was fouled by Davor Kus and drilled the first free throw before intentionally missing the second to give Serbia the win.
Rasic finished with 15 points, while Nenad Krstic led the Serbs with 16.
Marko Popovic scored 21 points for Croatia and Roko Ukic added 11.
Serbia will play the winner between Spain and Greece in the quarterfinals.
