(Sports Network) - Hoping to shake off a recent lopsided loss, the Toronto Raptors will attempt to rebound with a matchup tonight against the NBA's worst team, the Miami Heat, from AmericanAirlines Arena.
Toronto is coming off Friday's shellacking at home by the Los Angeles Lakers, who received 46 points from All-Star Kobe Bryant en route to a 121-101 victory at the Air Canada Centre.
Andrea Bargnani scored a team-high 28 points for Toronto, which had won three of its last four games entering the tilt. Chris Bosh added 22 points and 15 rebounds in a losing cause, while Jose Calderon poured in 17 points and dished out five assists.
The Raptors look to get well against a Miami squad that has lost three straight and 18 of its last 19 outings. Following Friday's 94-85 home setback to New Jersey, the Heat dropped to a league-worst 9-36 on the season.
Dwyane Wade returned from a bout with the flu to score 15 points for the hapless Heat, while Mark Blount and Alexander Johnson both finished with 14 points in the loss.
Miami continues to be without superstar center Shaquille O'Neal, who remains sidelined indefinitely with inflammation in his left hip and quadriceps. In addition, forward Udonis Haslem is expected to miss a third straight contest tonight due to a sprained left ankle.
The Heat have lost nine of their last 10 at AmericanAirlines Arena and are just 5-18 at home this year. Miami will play its next two games on the road following tonight's test, beginning with a visit to Detroit on Wednesday.
Toronto enters the game with an 11-12 mark on the road.
Miami has taken five of the last six encounters between these teams and is 14-4 against the Raptors since the start of the 2002-03 campaign. Toronto has lost five straight to the Heat as the visitor and hasn't won in Miami since a 94-92 decision on November 30, 2004.
