(Sports Network) - The Houston Rockets go for their fifth straight win tonight, when they open a four-game homestand versus LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Toyota Center.
Houston is 12-9 at home this season and will also host Atlanta, Portland and Sacramento at the Toyota Center. The Rockets posted their fourth consecutive win with Monday's 92-86 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center, as Tracy McGrady finished with a team-high 26 points, dished out seven assists and grabbed six rebounds.
Yao Ming contributed 16 points and five boards for the Rockets, who have won eight in a row on the road and are 13-3 over their last 16 games overall. In injury news for Houston, guard Luther Head is questionable for Thursday's game against Cleveland with a groin problem.
The Cavaliers will begin a short two-game road trip on Thursday against Houston and Atlanta. They are 12-13 away from Quicken Loans Arena this season, and have won two straight, four of five and own a 13-3 mark in the new year.
In Tuesday's 114-113 win over the mighty Boston Celtics at home, James flirted with a triple-double and finished with 33 points, nine rebounds and 12 assists. Zydrunas Ilgauskas added 21 points and 10 boards, while Larry Hughes chipped in 18 points and six assists in a winning effort.
On the injury front for the Cavs, forward Drew Gooden (groin) is questionable for Thursday's game against Houston.
Tonight's contest between the Rockets and Cavaliers is the first of two matchups this season. Cleveland is scheduled to host the Rockets at Quicken Loans Arena on February 19.
Both teams split a pair of meetings last season, while Houston has won six of the last eight encounters.
Cleveland has lost four of five and nine of its last 11 games at Houston.
