(Sports Network) - The Toronto Raptors will continue a three-game homestand tonight versus the Atlantic Division-rival New Jersey Nets at the Air Canada Centre.

Toronto has alternated wins and losses over its last eight games and opened the homestand with a 93-88 setback to the San Antonio Spurs on Monday night. Jose Calderon scored a career-high 27 points and dished out six assists in the losing effort. Chris Bosh was limited to just 11 points and grabbed eight rebounds for Toronto, which is 14-11 in Canada this season.

In teams news for the Raptors, head coach Sam Mitchell is taking a leave of absence so that he can fly home to Atlanta following the death of his father- in-law. Mitchell could rejoin the team for Wednesday's game against New Jersey, but will definitely return after the All-Star break. Assistant coach Mike Evans served as head coach in Monday's loss to the Spurs.

The Raptors will also host the Orlando Magic. In injury news for Toronto, guard T.J. Ford (wrist) left Monday's game and is listed as questionable versus the Nets.

New Jersey has won three in a row since a three-game slide, and recorded a 92-88 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday in the finale of a two-game homestand at the Izod Center.

Vince Carter had 17 points and 10 assists, while Jason Kidd barely missed his 100th career triple-double, finishing with nine points, nine assists and 10 rebounds for New Jersey. Richard Jefferson added 13 points and a game-high 12 boards in the win.

The Nets are 11-14 away from the Meadowlands this season.

The Nets and Raptors are playing the second of four matchups this season. The Raptors recorded a 106-69 victory on November 2 at the Izod Center, as Andrea Bargnani poured in 21 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead the charge.

Toronto has won two in a row and three of the last four meetings with New Jersey, which has lost two straight after winning its last three at the Air Canada Centre.
