New Jersey Nets (24-30) at Indiana Pacers (21-33), 7 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The new-look New Jersey Nets will try to stay on the winning path tonight, when they open a home-and-home series with the Indiana Pacers at Conseco Fieldhouse.

New Jersey has won four of its last five games and posted a 110-102 overtime victory versus the Chicago Bulls at the Izod Center. Marcus Williams scored a season-high 25 points in New Jersey's first game since point guard Jason Kidd was traded to Dallas.

On Tuesday, Kidd was finally sent to the Mavericks, along with forwards Malik Allen and Antoine Wright, in exchange for guard Devin Harris, swingmen Maurice Ager and Trenton Hassell, center DeSagana Diop, forward Keith Van Horn, first- round draft picks in 2008 and 2010, and cash considerations reportedly said to be about $3 million. Harris was out for Wednesday's game with an ankle injury. He has missed 11 straight games because of the injury and is out indefinitely.

Vince Carter poured in a season-high 33 points, pulled down nine rebounds and dished out seven assists for the Nets, who will try to improve their 11-15 road mark on Friday night. Richard Jefferson had 24 points in the recent win.

Indiana will close out a short two-game homestand versus the Nets and have dropped two straight at Conseco Fieldhouse. The Pacers are 10-16 as the host this season and suffered their third straight loss with Wednesday's 106-97 setback to LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Danny Granger had 30 points and eight rebounds for the Pacers, losers of 10 of the last 12 contests. Troy Murphy ended with 20 points and Jeff Foster added nine points and 15 rebounds in defeat.

Friday's showdown between New Jersey and Indiana is the first of four meetings this season. The Nets won all four matchups with the Pacers last season and have won five of six and seven of the last 10 matchups.

New Jersey, though, has lost 13 of its last 19 trips to Conseco Fieldhouse.
