Charlotte Bobcats (19-36) at Washington Wizards (25-29), 7 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The Charlotte Bobcats will open a three-game road trip this evening, when they take on the Washington Wizards at the Verizon Center.

Charlotte will also visit New York and Boston, and owns a 4-19 record away from home this season. It has also dropped six straight as the visitor.

The Bobcats have lost two straight overall and nine of their last 10 games, including Friday's 116-115 overtime setback versus the Sacramento Kings at Charlotte Bobcats Arena. Jason Richardson led Charlotte with 29 points and Raymond Felton added 17 points and 10 assists in the loss.

Bobcats leading scorer Gerald Wallace took an elbow to the face from Kings center Mikki Moore early in the third quarter and did not return. Wallace initially laid face-down on the floor for more than 10 minutes before being carted off on a stretcher. He was taken to nearby Presbyterian Hospital, where he was diagnosed with a Grade 3 concussion. Wallace later returned to his home following a myriad of tests, and is out indefinitely.

Meanwhile, the Wizards will try to stop a two-game slide tonight versus the Bobcats. Washington is 1-10 over its last 11 games and suffered a 90-89 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday at Quicken Loans Arena.

Darius Songaila had 19 points and DeShawn Stevenson 18 for the Wizards, who have dropped four in a row as the host and own a 15-12 mark at the Verizon Center this season.

In injury news for the Wizards, forward Caron Butler (hip) missed Friday's game against Cleveland and is questionable versus the Bobcats. Butler has missed the last seven games.

Washington is 2-0 against Charlotte this season and has won seven of nine and 11 of the 14 all-time meetings. It has also scored at least 100 points in 12 of the 14 encounters with the Bobcats, who are 1-5 on the road in this series.
