Detroit Pistons (40-15) at Phoenix Suns (38-17), 2:30 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The Central Division-leading Detroit Pistons will open a four-game road trip out west this afternoon, when they take on Shaquille O'Neal and the Phoenix Suns at US Airways Center.

Detroit will also visit the Nuggets, Jazz and Clippers on the swing, and is 18-10 away from the Motor City this season. The Pistons ended a two-game slide and won for the 11th time in 13 tries with Friday's 127-100 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

Chauncey Billups had nine of his game-high 21 points during a big run that closed out the second quarter to lead the way. He also dished out a game-high 12 assists and Rasheed Wallace scored 17 points for the Pistons, who avenged a 103-98 loss at Milwaukee on Wednesday.

The Suns, meanwhile, have alternated wins and losses over their last five games and will close out a four-game homestand on Sunday.

In Friday's 85-77 triumph over the Boston Celtics, Amare Stoudemire scored 28 points and O'Neal contributed four points and 14 rebounds to help the Suns bounce back from a 130-124 home loss to the Lakers on Wednesday. Grant Hill tallied 14 points and 13 rebounds for the Suns, who also got 18 points from Steve Nash in their fourth victory in six contests.

The Suns, who are tied atop the Pacific Division with the Lakers, also posted their 11th straight win against a team from the Eastern Conference. They are 21-7 as the host this season. In injury news for the Suns, guard Leandro Barbosa (headaches/cut above right eye) is probable against Detroit.

Sunday's showdown between the Pistons and Suns is the first of two matchups in 2007-08. Phoenix is scheduled to visit Detroit at The Palace of Auburn Hills on March 24.

Both teams split a pair of meetings last season, while Detroit has won three of four, six of eight and 10 of the last 17 encounters.

The Pistons have also won two in a row and six of their last seven trips to the desert.
