(Sports Network) - The Dallas Mavericks are back at home and will host the Chicago Bulls tonight at American Airlines Center.

Dallas went 2-2 on its four-game road trip and has won two straight games, including Sunday's 99-83 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center. Dirk Nowitzki had a game-high 29 points and eight rebounds to lead the Mavericks.

Jason Kidd, playing in the 1000th game of his career, finished with 12 points, 17 assists and seven boards for the Mavericks, who will put their 10-game winning streak at home on the line tonight. Jason Terry tallied 20 points and Josh Howard added 14 points and seven boards in Sunday's win.

The Mavericks are 23-3 at home this season and sit one game off the top spot in the Southwest Division. San Antonio and New Orleans are tied for first place in the standings.

Chicago will resume a three-game road trip on Monday, and is 10-19 away from the Windy City this season.

In the opener of the trek on Sunday against the Houston Rockets at the Toyota Center, Tyrus Thomas netted 18 points in a 110-97 defeat for the Bulls, who have lost four of their last six games. Andres Nocioni ended with 12 points and Thabo Sefolosha added 11 in a losing effort.

Newly-acquired Bulls Drew Gooden and Larry Hughes both made their debuts in the game. Hughes contributed 13 points, while Gooden notched 12 points and eight boards.

The Bulls, who have lost three in a row on the road, will also visit the Indiana Pacers on the current road swing.

Dallas posted a 103-98 victory over the Bulls on December 3 this season at the United Center. It has won four of five and 17 of the last 19 meetings.

Chicago has dropped two straight and nine of its last 10 as the visitor in this series.
