(Sports Network) - The New Orleans Hornets will try to get back on the winning track tonight, when they open a three-game homestand versus the Washington Wizards at New Orleans Arena.

The Hornets have dropped two in a row since a five-game winning streak and are now tied with San Antonio atop the Southwest Division standings. In Saturday's 98-89 setback to the rival Spurs at the AT&T Center, Chris Paul had 27 points and David West added 16 in a losing effort.

Peja Stojakovic scored 11 points in the loss for New Orleans, which will also host Phoenix and Utah on the homestand. The Hornets are 18-9 as the host this season.

Washington, meanwhile, will open a three-game road trip tonight against New Orleans, Houston and Chicago. The Wizards are 10-17 away from D.C. this season and put the brakes on a two-game slide with a 110-95 victory over the Charlotte Bobcats on Saturday at the Verizon Center.

Antawn Jamison scored 22 points, pulled down nine rebounds and dished out five assists to lead the charge. DeShawn Stevenson poured in 20 points for the Wizards, who have won just twice over their previous 12 contests.

In injury news for the Wizards, forward Caron Butler (hip) is expected to miss Monday's game against New Orleans. Butler has missed eight straight games.

Monday's contest between Washington and New Orleans is the first of two matchups this season. The Wizards are slated to host the Hornets on March 2 at the Verizon Center.

Both teams have split the last six meetings, while the Hornets have won three of five and four of the past seven matchups.

Washington has dropped 10 straight as the guest in this series.
