(Sports Network) - The Minnesota Timberwolves attempt to halt a two-game losing streak when they host the Utah Jazz tonight at the Target Center.

This is the first of four meetings between the clubs this season. Utah has won three in a row in the series.

Utah has won three of its last four at Minnesota.

The Timberwolves play the finale of a five-game homestand. On Sunday, reigning MVP Dirk Nowitzki had a game-high 29 points and eight rebounds as Dallas used a strong fourth quarter to knock off Minnesota, 99-83, at the Target Center.

Al Jefferson scored 22 points to pace the Timberwolves, who fell to 1-3 on their current five-game homestand. Rashad McCants came off the bench to score 17 points, while Sebastian Telfair scored 10 points and handed out a team-high seven assists for Minnesota, which has dropped seven of its last eight games.

Minnesota is 9-20 at home this season. The Timberwolves will visit Toronto on Wednesday and Cleveland on Friday.

Utah tries to win back-to-back games. On Saturday, Carlos Boozer scored a team-high 21 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as the Jazz picked up their 14th straight home win, 100-94, over the Atlanta Hawks.

This is Utah's longest home winning streak since the 1995-96 season, when it had a 19-game surge.

Kyle Korver added 13 points behind 6-of-6 shooting from the foul line for the Jazz, who have won 18 of their last 21 games overall. Deron Williams and Ronnie Brewer both had 12 points in the victory.

The Jazz are 12-17 on the road this season. They will return home to host the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday at EnergySolutions Arena.

On the injury front for Utah, forward Andrei Kirilenko and center Jarron Collins are both questionable with flu-like symptoms.
