(Sports Network) - The Cleveland Cavaliers will try to stay in the fourth spot in the Eastern Conference when they take on the lowly Miami Heat this evening at Quicken Loans Arena.

The Cavs are just 1 1/2 games ahead of Washington for the No. 4 seed in the playoff race, and have lost three of their last four games. In Friday's 100-95 setback to the Chicago Bulls at the United Center, LeBron James recorded 24 of his game-high 34 points in the first quarter.

Joe Smith tallied 20 points, while Delonte West and Zydrunas Ilgauskas chipped in 16 and 12 points, respectively. Cleveland, the defending Eastern Conference champs, is 26-13 as the host this season. Cavs guard Damon Jones (knee) is questionable for Sunday's game.

Miami has just three games left on the schedule before closing out a torrid 2007-08 campaign. It will open a two-game road trip tonight against Cleveland and Toronto, and is 6-33 away from South Beach this season. Miami has dropped seven in a row as the visitor.

The Heat have lost eight of their last nine contests overall, including Friday's 96-91 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies in the finale of a three-game homestand at AmericanAirlines Arena.

Earl Barron set a career high with 22 points for the Heat, who clinched the league's worst record at 14-65. Ricky Davis totaled 17 points, while Chris Quinn had 14 points and eight assists in defeat.

Cleveland will shoot for a series sweep of the Heat on Sunday after winning the first two tests.

Miami has lost four of its last five at Quicken Loans Arena.
