(Sports Network) - The Detroit Pistons are getting ready for a strong playoff push, and will resume a three-game homestand today versus the Toronto Raptors at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

Detroit ended a two-game losing streak in the opener of the homestand on Friday versus the Washington Wizards, as Jason Maxiell registered a career- high 28 points and eight rebounds in a 102-74 blowout in Motown. The Pistons, who already locked up the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference, got 13 points from Chauncey Billups and 10 points from Antonio McDyess.

Richard Hamilton, who had missed five straight games with a sore left hip, chipped in nine points and a game-high 10 assists in the win.

The Pistons will also host the Minnesota Timberwolves, and are 32-7 at home this season. They are 8-1 in the past nine games at The Palace.

Toronto just completed a perfect two-game homestand with a 113-85 triumph over the New Jersey Nets on Friday at the Air Canada Centre.

Carlos Delfino scored 24 points and Chris Bosh added 21 points and nine rebounds for the Raptors, who have won two straight after a three-game losing streak. Andrea Bargnani and T.J. Ford had 14 points apiece, while Jose Calderon contributed 11 points and 10 assists.

The sixth-seeded Raptors are 1 1/2 games behind Washington for the fifth spot in the Eastern Conference, while Philadelphia is a half game behind Toronto in the seventh spot. A sixth-place finish would mean a first-round matchup with Orlando, while the seventh seed guarantees a showdown with the tough Pistons.

Detroit is 2-1 against the Raptors this season, and has won four of six and 10 of the last 13 meetings.

Toronto has lost nine straight at Detroit.
