(Sports Network) - After playing a stretch of tough games against respectable opponents, the Orlando Magic will catch a break over the next few days starting with the woeful Philadelphia 76ers tonight at the Wachovia Center.
Orlando will also play Golden State and New Jersey on the upcoming schedule and has won seven of its last 10 games, including Sunday's 96-80 victory over Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat at Amway Arena. Rashard Lewis finished with 22 points, Vince Carter added 17 and J.J. Redick scored 15 points off the bench for Southeast Division-leading Orlando, which is two games ahead of Atlanta in the division and seeded second in the East.
All-Star Dwight Howard was in foul trouble most of the night and contributed seven points, five rebounds and three blocks.
"We told Dwight in there afterwards that we certainly owed him, he's been carrying us," said Magic head coach Stan Van Gundy. "He had a frustrating night tonight with calls and everything else, and virtually everyone else who played in the game played well."
The Magic will put their 17-14 road ledger on the line Monday and are 71-42 on the road under Van Gundy.
Philadelphia is back home after a four-game road trip which resulted in a 1-3 mark and concluded with Friday's 99-90 loss against the Los Angeles Lakers at Staples Center. Samuel Dalembert matched his career-high with 24 points to go with 11 boards for the Sixers, who have lost two straight and five of their last seven games.
Andre Iguodala contributed 13 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds, while Lou Williams chipped in 16 points and seven assists in the loss. Williams is averaging 17.8 points over his last eight games.
"We did a great job with effort and enthusiasm," Sixers head coach Eddie Jordan said. "But we just couldn't make a shot. We had open looks, and you've got to knock them down."
The 76ers are 10-17 in south Philly this season and may not have forward Elton Brand tonight because of a sore right calf. Brand is listed as questionable.
Orlando defeated Philadelphia, 120-106, back on October 28 at Amway Arena behind 21 points and 15 rebounds from Howard. The Magic have won five straight and 14 of the last 18 matchups against the 76ers, who have lost six of the last seven games as the host in this series.
