Atlanta Hawks (46-25) at Philadelphia 76ers (25-47), 7 p.m.

(Sports Network) - After upsetting one Eastern Conference postseason contender their last time out, the Philadelphia 76ers will now attempt to knock off the playoff-bound Atlanta Hawks in tonight's clash between the teams from the Wachovia Center.

Philadelphia returns home after pulling off an unexpected 101-86 victory over Milwaukee on Wednesday, handing the Bucks only their third loss in the club's last 18 games. The win was also just the Sixers' third in their 16 most recent contests.

Willie Green led a balanced Philadelphia scoring attack with 16 points and the 76ers shot a strong 52.6 percent from the field as a team. Jrue Holiday added 15 points and seven assists, with four other Philly players scoring in double figures.

"They were hitting shots tonight," Bucks guard Brandon Jennings said afterward. "They shot over 50 percent from the field tonight, what can you say? When a team is on fire like that, you just have to try to get stops. They executed well tonight and they got it done."

The 76ers, who prevailed despite being without two key players in guard Lou Williams (back) and forward Thaddeus Young (fractured thumb), will now aim for back-to-back wins for the first time since a season-best five-game streak from January 31-February 9. The team has gone a poor 5-16 since that run.

Philadelphia draws a tough assignment in an Atlanta squad that owns a 46-25 record and is currently tied with Boston for third place in the Eastern Conference. The Hawks have also taken both previous meetings between the teams this season and has won in three of their last four stops to the City of Brotherly Love.

Atlanta comes in off an exciting 86-84 home triumph over rival Orlando that moved the Hawks within 3 1/2 games of the Magic's lead atop the Southeast Division. The win also clinched a playoff berth for Atlanta.

After the Magic fought back from an 11-point deficit early in the fourth quarter to tie the score at 84-84 on Vince Carter's three-point basket with 9.9 seconds left, the Hawks' Joe Johnson drove towards the left baseline with the clock about to expire and got off an off-balance shot that hit the rim. Teammate Josh Smith followed the miss and threw down a soaring one-handed dunk as time expired for the winning points.

"Giving up a big lead with about five minutes left and eventually losing it, it would have been another heartbreaker," said Smith. "It wouldn't have put a dent in our confidence, (but) it definitely would have been disappointing."

Smith scored nine of his 15 points in the fourth quarter, while Johnson finished with 17 points and eight assists to help the Hawks to their sixth win in eight games. Al Horford had his sixth consecutive double-double for Atlanta, finishing with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Williams, Philadelphia's second-leading scorer at 14.4 points per game, sat out his second straight contest and is questionable for tonight's tilt. Young (13.8 ppg.) is sidelined indefinitely.
