Washington, DC (Sports Network) - Tim Duncan scored 23 points and pulled down nine rebounds to pace San Antonio to an 85-77 win over Washington.

Manu Ginobili had nine points and 10 assists, while Damon Stoudamire had nine points in San Antonio's third straight win. Robert Horry had seven of his season-high points during a crucial 17-4 run in the second half that gave the Spurs the lead for good.
"I'm just happy to make a shot. I haven't knocked down a shot in ages," Horry said. "The last two games, I haven't knocked one down, so I'm just happy to get some kind of rhythm going."
Antawn Jamison had 18 points and Andray Blatche chipped in 16 points and 15 boards for the Wizards, losers of five in a row, tying their season-high from the start of the season. DeShawn Stevenson ended with 11 points in defeat.
"In my mind, we went toe-to-toe with the world champions," Wizards coach Eddie Jordan said. "I felt that a lot of good things happened out on the court tonight. We are a little short on the bench, but that has been a constant for us all year. We are going to take away a lot of positives (from) tonight."
Two Jamison free throws boosted the Wizards to a 58-53 lead with 1:18 left in the third quarter, but the Spurs then scored 17 of the next 21 points.
A pair of Horry foul shots cut the deficit to 58-57 going into the fourth, and after two more Jamison free throws, the veteran nailed a three, giving the Spurs a 64-60 lead with 10:20 remaining. Michael Finley's three ended the burst, making it 70-62 with 8:27 left.
The Wizards got as close as four points, as two Blatche foul shots moved the spread to 77-73 with 2:54 remaining, but Duncan converted a three-point play 63 seconds later.
Ginobili then sealed the victory by nailing a jumper from the left side of the foul line with 34.6 seconds left, moving the advantage to 82-74.
The Spurs led 20-15 after the opening quarter and Duncan's alley-oop bucket in the closing seconds of the second quarter made it 38-37 San Antonio at the half.
