Miami, FL (Sports Network) - Carmelo Anthony scored six of his 22 points in overtime and also finished with 11 rebounds, guiding Denver to a 114-113 win over the Miami Heat.

J.R. Smith tallied 28 points, going 8-of-14 from three-point range in a reserve role, and Kenyon Martin scored a season-high 24 for the Nuggets, who have won three in a row and six of seven. Allen Iverson ended with 16 points, six rebounds and seven assists, while Marcus Camby had 12 points, 16 rebounds and seven blocked shots for Denver.

"It was a gutsy win," Camby said. "J.R. was huge for us all game long. K-Mart had it going all game long, especially in the third quarter. It was really good to get the win."

The Nuggets beat the Heat for a sixth straight time.

Shawn Marion had 23 points and 18 rebounds for the Heat, losers of eight in a row and 23 of their last 24 contests. Dwyane Wade scored 29 points and dished out 10 assists, but missed a potential winning shot at the end of overtime. Dorell Wright tied a season-best with 19 points in a losing cause.

Mark Blount, who had 18 points and 13 rebounds for the Heat, made a jumper to tie the game at 102 with 17.5 seconds left in regulation.

Dorell Wright then blocked Iverson's jumper from the right side with 0.4 seconds left, forcing overtime as Wade missed a three-pointer at the buzzer.

Wade's three-pointer tied the game at 110 with 2:34 left in OT, but after Anthony missed a three, Marion's jumper was blocked by Camby.

Anthony Carter and Iverson missed shots at the other end, but after Wade dove into the seats to save the ball from going out of bounds, Carter was fouled and he hit both free throws with 1:26 to go.

Ricky Davis then missed a three-pointer, and Anthony hit two foul shots with 54.1 seconds left for a 114-110 margin.

Davis' three-pointer, following a Wade offensive rebound off his own missed shot, drew Miami within a point with 33.6 seconds left.

When Anthony missed a jumper, the Heat were left with one final chance, but Wade's off-balance shot from the left side caromed off the glass and rim as time expired.

"When Dorell got the rebound, I looked over and Coach (Pat Riley) didn't call a timeout," Wade said. "He said 'go.' I had only five seconds once I touched the ball. I got the best shot that I could and it came out."

Miami closed the first period with a 9-2 spurt to grab a 32-23 lead and the Heat led 63-57 at the half. Denver rallied to go ahead 84-78 going into the fourth, but Miami scored the first seven points of the next quarter.
