Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - Chris Bosh had 27 points to guide Toronto to a 109-91 win over the shorthanded Nets, on a night New Jersey tried to pull off a trade to deal star point guard Jason Kidd.

Kidd, Malik Allen and Antoine Wright were all inactive for Wednesday's game, anticipating a trade to the Dallas Mavericks. However, during the contest, reports surfaced that Mavs veteran Devean George, one of the players involved in the trade, blocked the deal from a provision in his one-year contract.

"I am not a GM, I can't do anything about it," New Jersey's Vince Carter said. "I would have tried to block it already. These guys are great. I think we all work well together and we are accepting with open arms of course. Right now, it is just wait and see."

The trade was set up to send Kidd to the Mavericks for a package of players that included guard Devin Harris. The Nets were also to get center DeSagana Diop, swingmen Jerry Stackhouse and George, guard Maurice Ager, and a pair of No. 1 draft picks for 2008 and 2010. The Mavericks were to obtain Wright and Allen to make the salaries add up.

If George agreed to the trade, it could cost him his "early Bird Rights" which could cost him money if he becomes a free agent next summer. George commented after the Mavericks won at home against Portland Wednesday that he "wanted to look over things and have it explained to me what everything means. What that would mean, what are my options."

While Kidd sat out, the Raptors built a huge lead in the first half and coasted to victory, bouncing back from a five-point home loss to San Antonio on Monday.

Jose Calderon had 22 points and 12 assists, shooting 9-of-12 from the field, for Toronto. Jamario Moon tallied 15 points and Andrea Bargnani 14 for the Raptors, who shot 51.3 percent from the field in their final game before the All-Star break.

"Now everybody can go into the break and rest for four days without thinking about basketball," Calderon said. "In your mind it is always there, so it's good when you win and you can go and rest."

Carter and Richard Jefferson each had 15 points to lead the Nets, who had a three-game win streak broken.

Moon's three-pointer capped a 9-2 Toronto run to start the game. Carlos Delfino's three made it 30-15 with under a minute left in the first quarter and it was a 13-point margin going into the second.

Calderon's driving layup culminated eight straight Toronto points for a 53-35 margin with two minutes and it was 62-41 at the break thanks to a Calderon three to end the half.

Toronto continued to pull away in the third and led 92-63 going into the fourth. Another Calderon three made it 99-74 midway through the final stanza.
